“We at CMA BC are very proud to be able to support these students as they pursue their education to become CMAs. Their academic accomplishments are impressive, which will set them up for great success as CMAs and in their careers within strategic management,” said Diane Chung, CMA, Vice President, Marketing and New Business Development, CMA British Columbia. “It is a pleasure to acknowledge their hard work and we look forward to seeing these students develop into some of B.C.’s brightest business leaders.”

The $2500 scholarships are presented to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in a business strategy or management accounting course. The award is used towards the CMA Strategic Leadership Program (SLP), a professional development program that focuses on the best of contemporary and emerging management practices while developing the accounting, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, and communication skills essential for today’s successful management professional. Upon successful completion of the SLP, students are awarded the CMA designation.

CMA British Columbia scholarship awards are offered to post-secondary students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement in strategic management or managerial accounting courses and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting and a professional accounting designation. Fifteen CMA Scholarships are awarded to post-secondary students across British Columbia each year.
